In 1981, John C. Scribner, an active motorcycle enthusiast, riding a 1968 500cc Triumph T100C at the time, recognized a need to preserve vintage British motorcycles, such as Triumph, BSA and Norton, for riding pleasure and competitive show. So John, also known as BJ, left his trade as an electrician and opened his motorcycle shop, BJ’s Cycle Service in spring of 1981. The shop is located at 191 East Street, Chicopee, MA 01020.
Since 1981 BJ’s reputation has been built on experience, a high level of integrity and customer service. His attention to detail and ability to provide quality parts and service has contributed to the growth of his customer base in the United States, Australia, Bermuda, Canada, and England.
Stop by the shop on Saturday morning, and you can meet his customers. Whether they are there to check on work being done, purchase parts, ask for tech tips, pick up or drop off a bike, you will see the camaraderie amongst a group with a common interest ---British motorcycles.
